I and my colleagues from the School of Mathematics at the University of Birmingham presented a paper on origami on NEXT GENERATION INNOVATORS day. Again, we created a mood board with colored butterflies to see what people think about mathematics!
My colleagues from the School of Mathematics at the University of Birmingham and I presented paper origami. I explained how you could make fascinating 3D models from 2D sheets of paper in MALVERN SCIENCE IN THE PARK, Alfresco Family Event. We also created a mood board with colored butterflies (made by visitors) to see what people think about mathematics! We were funded by the PER office at the University of Birmingham.
I am a scientist in I’m a Scientist . It is an online, student-led STEM enrichment activity. It connects school students with scientists through energetic, real-time text-based chats. The activity runs throughout the UK term time.
This was a fun and exciting day exploring the wonders of science and technology. The event took place on Zoom and was streamed live on Facebook, where you can watch the entire day back. We are also uploading segments to our YouTube channel. I presented a "pub quiz" about energy and batteries in an interactive.
In this event, My colleague and I showed our research and talked with the public about it on the Family Show & Day. We were funded by the PER office at the University of Birmingham.
I was a member of the organizing committee for the 2019 Postdoctoral / Early Researcher Career Development And Training (PERCAT) Conference. In addition to the required activities for the organizing committee, I reviewed abstracts, selected talks and posters, and secured sponsorship for the conference (£400). I also proposed the keynote speakers.
